Apache TomCat Details Help !!!


I have my Linux Box(Red Hat Linux 8.0)
I Have installed Apache Web Server for running sites

Now I need to run Java Servlets for that I need Apache TomCat Servel engine

Now My Linux Box has Apache Server and Apache Tomcat

My Questions is for running java servlets,jsp is both
Apache Web server and Apache Tomcat are required?
Can anyone tell me the difference between both
It is not sufficient to have only apache Tomcat installed for running websites

i am bit confused with these two are both dependend on each other
Why should I use both?

Please expalin me in detail about this

Apache is the web server, Tomcat provides JSP support. You can get away with Tomcat only, if you only require Java, but it is (far) more common to run them together.
