I hate to ask a question like this but, I'd like some suggestions on setting up Apache, php, and mysql from source. I think I'd benefit from a couple of really good suggestions, and since I should learn all the new security behind these services some security docs are nice to.

Once again I don't like to ask for help in this way but I felt this would benefit me the most. Instead of pouring over docs that lead in the wrong direction.

--Thanks in advance,

LQ Links pages / Networking / LAMPS link. It explains it better than I possibly could. You may also want to Goggle for some LAMPS (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, SSL) stuff that may be more current.

By all means you should be asking - you gotta start somewhere. If you run into any difficulties then post your queries here.
