Apache mod_mmap_static

Hi, I'm trying to decide if this is something I should look into. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_mmap_static.html
Basically, it allows you to serve website pages off of your RAM instead of your hard drive so that it's faster. It says that it's still experimental though. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.
