Anyway to remove those anoying "word-popup" in firefox?
You know those words on webpages that are double-underline and if you put your mouse over it, or accidentally put your mouse over it while scrolling down a page with your mouse-wheel, a window will appear with an explanation/publicity associated with that word? (For example see
www.flexbeta.net
)
I hate them.
Does anybody know how to remove them in firefox? Is there an option in about:config or an extension to remove them?
I don't think you can get rid of it, because it's build on the website. Maybe there's an option hidden in FF to disable the loading of those windows, but I don't think it's possible.
I haven't seen any option to make this. You can have a look at firefox's extensions website to see if there's something of your interest

adblock'ing javascript that does these popups works great. Also you can make javascript off by default and use NoScript to switch it on when necessary.
