Anyone know of a Winamp type player with a libruary


Hi guys,

I'm trying to move across to linux but there a few things which I can not go without. I need a winamp type player with a media libruary or plug in type thing. I MUST be able to search as I have a extremely large music collection.

xmms for sure... it heven hsa cool lcd plugins available for it

maybe try something like DigitalDJ
although musicmatch sucks, it is now unavailable to linux ..

I have had a look at this one but it does not have allow u to set up a database of music like winamp 5. I wish to specify the directory and then seach a database with all id tags containing a given word.

Try juk (included in kde 3.2) or rhythmbox for gnome.
