Anyone's ALSA soundware fail after waking from Suspend?

Mine does. I'm configured through KDE's Peripherals to suspend, and when it wakes up, the kmix tray icon shows that the hardware has been muted and the sound doesn't work even after unmuting. I have to reboot in order to get my sound back.

I've tried running alsaconf, but this doesn't resolve it...I still have to reboot.

Anyone have any knowledge about this sort of thing?

I had the same problem with Fedora Core 6 on my Compaq laptop.

Each time I wake up the system;
1) run 'alsamixer' command than select the PCM and hit <m> key twice,
2) select Master and readjust the sound level.

sound begin working again. This became kind a weird ritual, but I couldn't find a permanent solution.
