Annoying Pop-up Flash Ad problem

On MSN and Yahoo sometimes there are Pop-up flash ads. I cannot close them even when i click on the "x" on the flash ad and it stops me from being able to read whats on the web page.

This happened when using Flash Player 7, this is also happening with Flash Player 9 (using crossover office).

I'm using Suse Linux 10.1 and the latest verison of mozilla firefox.

This also used to happen on mandriva.

What do I do to close down these adverts?

You could try using the firefox extensions adblock and flashblock to prevent them from ever showing up.
