ALSA mpeg players.

does anybody know of a mpeg player (CLI or graphical) that can play from a list and use ALSA output?

I cant seem to find any working way to get XMMS to go on alsa, and I want something to play some decent music while I play games like quake3 or any of the UT's.

I could be wrong, but isn't there some kind of alsa plugin for xmms? Take a look a xmms.org and you should find the plugin there.

both are highly experimental, one wont even compile w/o knowledge of the project, the other spits out errors left and right, and even when i FINALLY got it to compile, XMMS would die when I tried to play music through it.

I would rather wait till ALSA is included in the XMMS release.

anyways, a CLI player takes up less memory and offers all the features I need; provided it A) uses alsa, and B) can play from a list.
