After Install of Red HAt WS 3, System crashes at FIrst Boot

I installed Red Hat WS 3, and the install went perfectly, but when it boots, it ghets to a point where it says First Boot, then the monitor just loses video like you disconnected it?

Any Suggestions

I read about disabling ACPI and that didn't do it

When the grub boot splash screen is displayed press the 'Esc' key
Highlight the Linux boot choice and press the 'e' key
Select the line that begins with kernel and press the 'e' key again
At the end of the line add a space followed by the number 3
When done press the 'Enter' key followed by the 'b' key

Log on as root (supply the password when asked) then try something like;

redhat-config-xfree86 --reconfig --set-depth=16 --set-resolution=800x600

When done try if the GUI is now working; startx

If yes, then you can see if you can go to a higher resolution after figuring out which VGA interface you have and which monitor to use. If not then it would be a good idea to edit the /etc/inittab file and change the line that reads;

id:5:initdefault:

to read;

id:3:initdefault:

until you get this resolved.
