ACID RIP +slamd64

greetings,

running slamd6410.2b and attempting to get acidrip working. i found an installation guide and ensured i met all of the software requirements. however, when i attempt to build lsdvd i get the following output:

r®®t@motherbsdee lsdvd-0.10:# ./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /bin/ginstall -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes

checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g ) works... yes
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g ) is a cross-compiler... no
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking for DVDOpen in -ldvdread... yes
checking for dvdread/ifo_read.h... no
configure: error: Header files for dvdread not found

this seems out of whack to me; i know that dvdread is installed.

any ideas?
thanks

libdvdread is already installed, as i said.
double checked numerous times. even installed a 32 bit version of the library (the one i was linked to) with no success.

I have the same problem on Slack 11.
Goggled around, but still no solution.
Anyone can help?
