Lightbulb A Wine Thought

I was wondering if it was possible to use WINE to run windows programs without a windows partition. I've had it run small applications like notepad and paint, but that was with a dual-boot with Windows 98. It would be interesting to set up, but I have no idea how to go about it. Anyone any thoughts?

Yes its possible to use wine without a windows partition, thats why when you install wine it says "WARNING, MAY VIOLATE WINDOWS PARTITIONS, PLEASE PROCEED WITH FAKE WINDOWS INSTALL DIRECTORY"

And it also does this absolutely 100% all by itself too, right when you install it.

The catch is you have to be smart enough to have actually looked at the help and install documentation, so instead of typing ./configure and make and make install like everyone always does for some unknown reason, you use the packaged install it for you does everything install tool...
./tools/wineinstall

Have fun!

Yes it is. I use it for a few apps and games on my laptop and I do not have a windows partition installed at all.
