a "universal" VNC client+server in easy install?

hello

i'd like to know how easily install a VNC client + server, in the way of :
-it might run (server) from startup
-it can be installed from any type of distro with .tar.gz instead of various package managers + various vnc-software names
-it can support SSL encryption

it's especially focused for a little association/organisation whom gets few dozen of computers and to test VNC on them, but they dont have at all the same distro : some of them are linux, others solaris/illumos, plus i saw free/openbsd (desktop) and various others non-linux os. But i think the majority runs debian-likes and void.

the thing is i'd like to run a kind of "unified" scrip whom can ask just the password of VNC server and does everything automatically..

does it exists?

thank you

No. You really need the package manager to handle installation and updates, the alternative is a hot mess.

However, you can mix and match VNC clients with your choice of servers. The distro and even the client do no matter as long as you stay with either the VNC or RDP protocols.

If you're looking for a good client, then Remmina for VNC and RDP is a solid choice. It tunnels over SSH nicely and is as easy as is possible.
