A blank java program window

hello,

I have just downloaded and installed "web form generator" every thing ran smoothly but when i tried to open the program all i found was a blank window with nothing but the title bar
my java version is
Code:
ahmad@1[~]$ java -version
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode, sharing)
i tried this program on windows and it worked also i have another working java programs on linux like limewire and jalbum

any ideas where the problem might be?

i don't know anything about that program but when i used to work in java for the desktop i would say the idea that java is cross platform in some pure way never materialised and often required some workarounds. my guess is the programmers didn't test with linux.

if I remembered correctly, there is a similar issue with netbeans (a java IDE) and beryl too, and it could be solved by setting an environmental variable if I remembered right.

Solution to Blank Java Forms

Had the same problem , but found this link http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-362821.html

The solution works!!! But is only a hack, true solution will come in future ubuntu/beryl/java releases, so in the meanwhile try the link. You will also find that this problem is logged with SUN.
