64bit reinstall help

i purchased a system and had to send the motherboard and cpu back. Before that though i got suse 64 up and running smoothly. Now though after i replaced the mainboard i can't open it and when i try to reinstall it hangs up when its checking hardware or if i change resolution it says invalid rip value. any help would be great, this is the first linux distro ive used so im a newbie.

nevermind

usb was enabled in bios on the new motherboard. sorry about that. i would however like to know the best way to dual boot. im wanting to try slackware or gentoo before much longer and was wondering how i could keep suse on one partition and slack on the other. i have windows on the 120gig harddrive for gaming and what not and linux on the 40. any info would be great.
