3 Xandros Questions

Hi, just started using Xandros linux for the first time. its my first linux experience and i have a couple of questions to get me up and running.

Firstly can someone recommend my a good ASF and WMV capable player for linux. I know they are a microsoft windows file formats but is there a good player to play them. As the ones that came pre istalled dont play them. They play sound but no pictures the screen is completely back.

I also downloaded something called Xine or something but that also wont play them.

Also is there a very good DVD player for linux. As this Xine i dont like. Is there a retail DVD player as i want something very good to play my DVD's and retail to me is the way to go. Does anyone know when LinDVD is due out as WinDVD is by far and away my favourite Windows DVD player

Secondly. If a program crashes what do i do. As a few programs have crashed and i dont know the Ctrl+Alt+Del key sequence in linux to close crashed programs.

Finally does anyone know of a program/extension that wil transport all my firefox bookmarks and stored web passwords over from windows XP to Linux Xandros.

Thank You
Anthony

1)Debian MPlayer How-To

2) "Ogle is a real DVD player that supports DVD menus and navigation. It can access CSS-protected DVDs if you have libdvdcss installed, take screen shots, and view movies in fullscreen mode. It handles angles correctly and automatically uses the correct aspect. You can switch subtitles and audio tracks. It runs on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and Solaris."

3) "Locate your profile folder" look for bookmarks.html cookies.txt hostperm.1 and key3.db and signons.txt ; you can copy copy them to disk, email them to yourself; or just move them from your windows firefox profile to your linux Firefox profile.

XN, Xandros Networks has everything you will need to get mplayer up and running with FF. Check in Xandros forums for apt-sources.
