2 stage SSH X11 forwarding

Hi,
My personal computer A reside in a private network in my computer. The only way to access from outside is through a gateway machine B. The following steps show how I connect to the machine A from outside.

My home Linux> ssh -X B.name.com (Connect to the Gateway B)
Machine_B> ssh -X A.name.com ( From Gateway B to connect my machine A)
Machine A> firefox& -----> failed. Can't display to my home machine.

I am wondering if there is anyway to display a X11 application from my work machine to my home machine. Thank you for your help.

Have you tried -Y instead of -X option?
Also run the command ' xhost + ' at each machine connection.

Just some quick thoughts at the moment. One should be able to forward X through but I would have to dig up some notes on it.

Thanks, Brian.

I tried to use ssh -XY option, and it works.

Thanks a lot.

Should only need to use just -Y. No need for the -X option. Glad to be of help.
