Hi i need some easy to use steps to install gentoo 2004.1 off cd's ive read the docs over and over but they ask u to go back and forward so i dont get it can someone put the install off cd's in steps for me thanks.

Check out http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/index.xml . And honestly...if you can't follow those directions, gentoo probably isn't the best distro for you to use. Please don't take this as an insult, but I used redhat for a long while, then switched over to LinuxFromScratch, and have done several gentoo installs as well. It would have been impossible without learning the command line in redhat first. If you really feel like you can do this, read the gentoo install closely, and follow it. I suggest the 'view as one giant freaking page' option. But hey, thats just me. In any case, best of luck.

Ive read the Docs and i even have them in a console to read over again i want it in steps to save me time, not because i cant use the command line.

P.S. Ive used rh9 and its so windows im using slackware and its all good but wanted a change.
