http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/index.xml . And honestly...if you can't follow those directions, gentoo probably isn't the best distro for you to use. Please don't take this as an insult, but I used redhat for a long while, then switched over to LinuxFromScratch, and have done several gentoo installs as well. It would have been impossible without learning the command line in redhat first. If you really feel like you can do this, read the gentoo install closely, and follow it. I suggest the 'view as one giant freaking page' option. But hey, thats just me. In any case, best of luck.
