[Alpine] attaching file as Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

I need to configure alpine (or any email client that works with gmail) to attach the file as Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit. Currently when attaching a file it attaches it as "Content-Transfer-Encoding: BASE64".

Is there a way to configure alpine to attach files as plain text 7bit attachements?

Thanks,
