Zabbix - SNMP Reporting Network Utilization at 0bps

I'm fairly new to both Zabbix and the SNMP protocol. I've setup a simple test server with 6 clients, most of which are using SNMP for monitoring.

One of our requirements is that we have a network utilization graph. From the documentation and other posts I've read on the web, to do this all one has to do is track ifInOctets1 and ifOutOctets1. I've edited these to show bits and speed per second and they seem to respond fine. My issue is that they report a speed of 0 bps. This is not to be confused with a value of [no data]. Is this normal? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Since there have been no responses, perhaps I should elaborate about my environment. We currently have a Zenoss server running are considering switching to Zabbix. Zenoss is extracting the proper information from ifinoctets1 and ifoutoctets1 using the same OIDs I'm using on Zabbix. I've double-checked using snmpwalk and snmpget to make sure. Perhaps it is also important to note, that other items I am tracking, such as ICMPReq are working flawlessly. What could be wrong?

I seem to have found the problem. I made the proverbial "newbie" mistake and assumed that interface 1 would always be the one I wanted to monitor, doing an snmpwalk revealed otherwise. IfInOctets65539 was the one I wanted. I had no idea it could count backwards. It's fixed though, hope this helps someone in the future.
