woad.dat with dhcp

i have configured dhcp with wpad.dat for auto proxy detection in centos 172.16.0.3

my /var/www/wpad.dat is

function FindProxyForURL(url,host)
{
return "PROXY 172.16.0.3:3128";
}

and my dhcpd.conf is
ddns-update-style interim;
ignore client-updates;
option wpad-url code 252 = text;
subnet 172.16.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 {

# --- default gateway
# option routers 192.168.0.1;
# option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;

# option nis-domain "domain.org";
option domain-name "central.edu";
option domain-name-servers 172.16.0.1;
option wpad-url "http://172.16.0.3/wpad.dat/n";
# option time-offset -18000; # Eastern Standard Time
# option ntp-servers 192.168.1.1;
# option netbios-name-servers 192.168.1.1;
# --- Selects point-to-point node (default is hybrid). Don't change this unless
# -- you understand Netbios very well
# option netbios-node-type 2;

range dynamic-bootp 172.16.0.4 172.16.4.254;
default-lease-time 21600;
"/etc/dhcpd.conf" 33L, 928C

from client I get the ip from 172.16.0.3

if I mention http://172.16.0.3/wpad.dat in "use autometic proxy script" in browser , i can access internet, so my wpad is working.
but when i select "autometic detect setting" in browser i cannot access internet.

please help to solve the problem.

well I *keep* telling you the DHCP solution is bad, yet you never seem to acknowledge it.

So... does the DHCP record contain the information? Try running wireshark on one end and see what is in the DHCP packets.
