Weird error after unninstall and attemp to install

I compiled image magick, but something went wrong so i uninstall it with command make uninstall. But when i extract tar gz file again and type ./configure i getting this error:
configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files!
Any idea why is that happening? When i type ls -l i see almost all files are created today.

type make clean before you try to re-compile anything, it gives you a fresh slate
