VSFTPD ISSUE on CentOS5.6


guys,
I'm using centos 5.6 without selinux.
when I try to connect to the ftp, it gives me the following...

Connected to myhost.com.

220-# Welcome! All activity is monitoring! #

220-########################################
220
User (myhost.comnone)): user1
331 Please specify the password.
Password:
500 OOPS: cannot change directory:
500 OOPS: child died
Connection closed by remote host.

I have an account named user1 along with home directory of the website directory. the user is unable to upload the files for this issue. Please help me...

Hello,

Not much can be said without the vsftpd.conf file. Can you post that? Also, check the permissions on the user directories and post them too.

please tell us what do you get in /var/log/secure and /var/log/messages after a failed login?

after deleting and then re adding the user accounts, it's working again.

I dont know why!!!
