Varnish Reverse proxy
hi,
I installed varnish reverse proxy in my rhel5 server.
apache running in port 80.
i edited /etc/sysconfig/varnish
DAEMON_OPTS="-a :6081 \
-T localhost:6082 \
-f /etc/varnish/default.vcl \
-u varnish -g varnish \
-s file,/var/lib/varnish/varnish_storage.bin,1G"
when i try to start the varnish services
[root@hq245 varnish]# service varnish restart
Stopping varnish HTTP accelerator: [FAILED]
can anyone help me.
how to start varnish HTTP accelerator.

Again, that says "Stopping"...
given that you have the daemon options there, you may wish to try manually just running the daemon outside of the script, and you'll possibly get a very useful error back to help you. Also look in your logfiles.

my varnish is running,
[root@hq203 sysconfig]# service varnish status
varnishd (pid 13812) is running...
[root@hq203 ~]# varnishlog
0 CLI - Rd ping
0 CLI - Wr 0 200 PONG 1341394113 1.0
0 CLI - Rd ping
0 CLI - Wr 0 200 PONG 1341394116 1.0
now how to use varnish as a reverse proxy as well as in the browser.
