Users / Groups / Permissions?


Hey there we have a couple of boxes at our location and they all need the exact same user, group, and passwd configuration, whats the easiest way to standardize this?

You can configure NIS or LDAP server to facilitate that.

Firstly, centralization of the data, into ldap. Secondly, running puppet to ensure that a central set of configuration files are sent out to all clients. The first option is what you should do without a very good reason not to.
