Upgrading openssl to the latest version
Hello,
I would like to upgrade openssl in one of my servers to the latest version.Currently it is running the followning version.
OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008
MY server details are given below.
--------------------------------------
# uname -i
i386
# uname -r
2.6.18-194.32.1.el5xen
# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.5 (Final)
--------------------------------------
I can't find a repository available to do the upgrade directly through yum. So I thought of installing it through source. I think for that first you need to remove the currently installed rpm package. But that will remove 79 other packages also. I think that will affect the stability of the server. Can you please advice how I should proceed on this case.
Regards
