Trying to setup multiple users on FreeNX server on Ubuntu Hardy
Hi folks,
I am trying to setup a situation where a user can open a FreeNX session using old WinXP clients. I have things to the stage where the FreeNX Server is up and running on the Ubuntu box, and ideally what I want to happen now is that multiple users, e.g., 30 or so, can log into their Ubuntu desktop using previously mentioned XP clients.
What I have is one user authenticating successfully, and no subsequent ones. I think there is a simple config problem that I cannot find!
An important point: I am migrating a school environment from XP to Ubuntu, and for those who have done this before, you will know that it is not as simple as "install ubuntu on anything that moves". It is a confidence building exercise, hence the need to maintain the XP boxes, at least temporarily.
Kinda late to ask all these questions if I may say. But asking them despite the delay If you have setup as described it would be nice to have a tutorial. Also what would it be like for 15 users to connect to the server from over the internet. Is it possible to secure these external sessions?
