For some reason syslog-ng isn't listening on the port I tell it to. I must have done something wrong but I can't work it out. This is to be a central syslog server collecting logs from clients. I need to get the server working before I can try clients. This is Debian 7.0.
Any help would be appreciated:
compaq:/etc/syslog-ng# fgrep 127 syslog-ng.conf
source s_net { tcp(ip(127.0.0.1) port(1000)); udp(); };
compaq:/etc/syslog-ng#
