squidGuard & Berkeley

I have been playing about with squid today, and once I had configured the transparent proxy on squid it said about setting up squidGuard.

I downloaded it and extracted it to a dir in my home directory. I then raN "./configure" whereby at the end I was informed that Berkley DB was setup.

I went through the process of putting the files into the unix dir and when I try to run "make install" it tells me it can't do this.

Any ideas why?

I have got BerkeleyDB to install (when I realised I couldn't create directories I logged in as root and it allowed installation of Berkeley DB)

I have rebooted the server and tried to install squidGuard as both root and usr and still no joy. Is there anything I am doing wrong?
