Hello all,
I'm new on this forum and I hope that this thread is on the right place
I tried searching squid mailing lists and internet for answer to my quesetion, but I had no luck...
So this is my question:
I have Ubuntu server 10.10 64 and I'm using it for squid 3.1.6 and bind9. I have configured it all succesufully using a lot of guides on the internet, but I hope that squid can do one more thing.
Squid has it's own internet connection and it's being used as transparent proxy server. So it's caching all http traffic on our network. I have another internet link on the other side of the network, and there is mirktoik router installed, and it has built-in web-proxy which is squid based, but it doesen't allow a lot of configuration, so I'm not using it for caching.
So my question is next:
Can squid be configured that for all files above 50 mb to use that mikrotik's web-proxy as parent proxy, and for all other traffic to use it's own direct link? And my next question is can squid cache that traffic for those files above 50 mb, which is received from parent proxy?
Sorry for my bad english, I hope that squid can do this
