squid: error

Hi

I configured my squid proxy
some users i set the IP manually in their browser and messenger

my problem is about PIDGIN with MSN protocol
they can able to login but when send message
there is an error message:

Quote:
Message could not be sent because we were unable to establish a session with the server. This is likely a server problem, try again in a few minutes:
if i checked on the logfile from squid there is no error message

You don't actually say what your problem IS. What are you trying to accomplish? If you mean that pidgin doesn't work, there's nothing that Squid has to do with it. Squid is an HTTP proxy...that's it. Messenger applications don't use HTTP, but another port, so unless you allow traffic on that port(s) through your firewall, it won't work.
