Unhappy setup port forwarding on :25565


i need to setup port forwarding on my server (i have it running ubuntu 11.04 desktop) so i can host a minecraft server. i have very little knowledge as how to do this so easy tutorials/answers please.

port forwarding would be set up on your router. go into your routers web page (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and find the port forwarding section. type in the port you want to forward and the IP address you want to forward it to.

make sure your server has a static IP address (and is the address you set up forwarding to go to)
