Post Server must be GUI or command line?

Hello.
Is it true that Linux administrators never use GUI Environment like Gnome or KDE or even GUI tools ?
For example, If I want to configure OpenLdap using "phpLDAPadmin" or "jxplorer" is it Bad?

Thank you.

I call bollocks on what you heard. There is nothing wrong with gui for servers.

Many prefer only cli because that way the system is headless, uses less resources and less installed packages, so the theory is cli is faster and more secure.

All my vm servers are cli. Editing config files really does not require a gui. The virtual host on the other hand does have gui capability. Some things are faster in gui, some in cli. It is good in my opinion to know how to use both.

I know GUI Environment need more memory and resources and CLI is logical but some GUI tools make monitoring easily and faster and I want to know a Professional administrator can use GUI or not?

It is totally up to the administrator as to which tools s/he uses.

Thus GUI is legal.
