Sendmail recently ignoring Access.db

Hello All:

I've a RedHat 9.0 server running Sendmail v8.12.8 and recently the server has begun ignoring the Access.db entries. I've exectuted:
makemap hash /etc/mail/access.db < /etc/mail/access
after every change to the the access file and the Sendmail daemon as well as the server have both been restarted. Essentially the server is relaying mail from domains that are NOT permitted. This has worked up until recently. Checked for rootkits and nothing...

I'm going crazy!!!!

Help!!!

Thanks!

Can you try it with the verbose switch and see if any errors/strange output are reported? For example:
Code:
makemap -v hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access
