Sedmail and Atutor

Hallo,
Is anyone of you familiar with Atutor? Its a learning management system that is open source.
Now i have a problem when it comes to notifying registered users through their email that they are registered and i would want them to click on a link to confirm their registration.
Does this require any configurarion in sendmail and if so which one?

Really appreciate any help.
