SARG installation help

Dear experts,

I have installed apache server in
/usr/local/apache2.

and installed SARG like this
#./configure --enable-bindir=/usr/bin --enable-sysconfdir=/usr/local/sarg --enable-htmldir=/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/ --enable-mandir=/usr/local/man/man1 && echo "success"

it is installed successfully. I made the follwing change in httpd.conf

DocumentRoot= "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs"

and made following change in /usr/local/sarg/sarg.conf

access_log /var/logs/squid/access.log

but when i tried http://localhost, it doesn't work. Please help me in this regards

Is there any way to start sarg service??? if yes, how? I instslled SARG through source code.

Thanks

Saif ur Rab

Did you start the httpd (apache) service after installing it?

> /etc/init.d/httpd status (to check)

>/etc/init.d/[service] start (to start)

>/sbin/chkconfig --level 35 [service] on (to start at boot)

(the service may be called "apache" or "apache2", I am not sure about the current
install from source)
