Samba file size limitations

I know this has been posted before, but none of the other threads helped. My problem appears to be the same as everyone else, Samba will not transfer files greater than 2 or 3 gigabytes, after it reaches that limit it gives me the error "disk full". The difference is that I only run linux on my servers, all my desktops are windows XP. So when it says mount the share with large file support, that means nothing to me in windows since I just access the share with \\servername\share. Is there something on the server end that will fix this? I really don't want to have to go back to windows server 2003 for my file server.

I'm running slackware 12.0, samba-3.0.25b-i486-1.

To be clear, it will start to transfer the file (the files I'm working with are 5-10 gig .mkv blue ray backups) and it gets to about 40% or so depending on the file and then it will give me the error. The file will appear in the share directory on my windows machine, right clicking on it and clicking properties gives the file size it should be, but it obviously doesn't work.

Fixed my problem. If anyone cares, I was writing to a hard drive that was part of a raid array.
