Samba add machine script disables machine by default?!

If I use the add machine script with samba:

add machine script = /usr/sbin/adduser -n -g machines -c Machine -d /dev/null -s /bin/false %u

It seems to add the machine fine, but diables it by default in the /etc/samba/smbpasswd file. This seems to defeat the purpose of having an addmachine script.

What am I doing wrong?
