Running PHP with PCNTL on a Web Server

Hi,

I have read at http://us.php.net/pcntl that using the PCNTL functions in a web server environment is dangerous and produces funky results.

Has anyone ever tried to run PHP with PCNTL in a web server environment? If so, what version of PHP and what web server?

Thanks!
AP
