rhel 5.5 hang logout


dear sir

i notice a new build install rhel 5.5 64bits getting hang, hang means when we say logout gui way, no logout take place even we wait for 15 minutes

but when we issues reboot command or any other comamnds gui or command line bash it work fine

can someone highlight what package service can intrupt or see logs

finally a message come "not responding screen", "force quit" button appear

Could be anything, most likely you've got a program running on your desktop that you haven't stopped/exited.

Best thing for you to do is to Call RedHat, since you're paying for support with your RHEL5 subscription. They can help you.
