I'm trying to increase the size of an iSCSI device. On the LUN side, the provision size has been expanded already.
I expanded the size of this device from 15GB to 30GB.


I then rescanned the devices:

[root@ps-dev-nfs ~]# iscsiadm -m node --targetname iqn.2001-05.com.equallogic:0-8a0906-db7938c02-c6a994bda8a4a773-ps-dev-nfs -R

If I check the size of the devices (/dev/sdb, /dev/sdc and /dev/dm-0), I see them reflecting the new size:

Another check confirms this:

However, when I check disk space usage I still see that device at 15GB:

Am I missing something here?

Did you resize the filesystem? If you are using ext2/ext3:

http://linux.die.net/man/8/resize2fs

Depending upon the version of your kernel, it may be possible to enlarge it online (see link above for details).

Thanks Tim! That's exactly what I needed.

So I had already provisioned and expanded the volume size on the LUN/SAN side and then I had to run e2fsck -f on the device and then I executed the resize2fs command on the device and it recognized and adjusted the volume size to the correct size.
