Depends very simplified
Raid 0 fast no redundancy
Raid 1 can have fast reads good redundancy halve the disks may fail expensive double the disks
Raid 5 reasonably fast reads reasonably good redundacy, one drive may fail not so expensive only one extra drive
Raid 6 reads comparable with raid 5 better redundancy two drives may fail more expensive two extra drives are needed
raid 10 fast and good redundancy can have the speed of raid 0 but the cost of raid 1 double the disks needed.
