Quick mysql replication question

I'm pretty decent with MySQL but never had to deal with replication unless something broke which I could stop the slave, fix a table and start again, but here is my quick question.

A client has 10 or so servers each has a slave all working. 1 server is getting a bit tight on use, so I was asked to move a few databases from one server to another. Now I can do a mysqldump > file, then import, but is there a master type config that say's which to replicate, or if I import that from master1 to master10, will it just start replicating to slave10?

Gonna try to do some reading while I wait, but thought it maybe a quicker answer here.

Tnx

It depends on what you're looking to do before we can tell you how you would want to proceed. Are you looking to move databases to a new master and maintain a 1:1 master/slave setup, or are you looking to only split up the slaves and keep 1 master replicating to two slaves?

The first is ideal, but the second one could work in some situations.

Sorry I was away on vacation, and sorry I wasn't as descriptive, usually I'm better than that!

So, to answer the above, the current setup is there are 10 or so masters each has a slave. So sql1 has a sql-slave1, etc. There's alot that has been in place forever, but basically some servers have more databases or larger databases and checking the sizes, sql1 for example may have the root partition 85% full, and sql-5 maybe 40% full. So I want to simply do a mysqldump to an .sql, then import to another server and start it up, I am just unsure how to get the slave going.

I would assume I should copy the slave data over as well so it doesn't have to replicate the whole thing, but that should be a bit more info.

Thanks.
