Query about installing and configuring OpenLaszlo

Hi

I am trying to install and configure OpenLaslzo on Gentoo.

I was wondering if anyone out there has done this and if they can offer up a guide as to how to install it properly.

The documentation link on the openlaszlo web site keeps showing a file not found error for the installation section - very handy that one

I have emerged apache, tomcat 5.5, and mod_jk. if i type in http://localhost:8080 i get the tomcat page... so I assume that part is all working properly.

I have also downloaded and extracted the OpenLaszlo source, and followed what instructions there are for installing, which so far all appears to be good, but I don't know how to get it working - i think that part of the instructions is missing.

PS. I am very new to configuring tomcat and java, so please don't assume prior knowledge on my part - cause there isn't any

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regards

Rod.

Working?

I was hoping to find information here on a similar, or perhaps even the same problem that I'm having. Did you ever get this figured out?

I think I got it. I did:

(after installing tomcat6 from the repository to pull in the Java dependency)
export JAVA_HOME=/usr
/etc/init.d/tomcat6 stop
/usr/local/lps-4.6.1/Server/tomcat-5.0.24/bin/startup.sh

I wish I could have used tomcat6 from the repo, and I probably still could, but this will still take more work.
