hi guys i am haveing a network of 40 pc all 40 pc are fedora 8 & 11
i have a squid server to local intranet
in squid.conf i have writen the rule

acl bad_sites dstdomain "/root/bad_sites"
http_access deny bad_sites

and i have bad_sites file in all comp
in which all block site have been writen
it is working reallly fine
like i am able to block & unblock all sites which i want to all user in my netwrok

but some time for user it show proxy refuse error
so i just do /etc/init.d/squid reload
after which it works
it happens some time
i want to know why it is happening ?

NOTE : when user get proxy refused error @ that time proxy server is up and running
i just do /etc/init.d/squid reload
it works

Plz let me know the proper solutions

When it does not work, what are the errors you get in the Proxy log and in the messages file? That might give you some direction to the problem.
