I just write "vmware" at terminal to view all vmware services. Im a MS guy changing to Linux all this is new for me. I just delete all .lck files in /var/lib/vmware/VirtualMachines/(virtualName), and run vmware configuration again and all is running now. Thanks guys for your help, im looking for a good Linux book which you recommend.

I must say, nice detective work.

You will find a wealth of documentation at The Linux Documentation Project. The longer items are in the "Guides" section; I still keep a copy of Garrels's Intro to Linux on my bookshelf.
