I want to know to configure postfix with mysql support is it possible to simply insatll a rpm rather than installing src package with mysql tags .

I think it depends on your distro, but as far as I know, the redhat variants don't have mysql enabled in their rpms (ie your will need to compile as you've suggested)

i m facing problem in compiling postfix with mysql .
