Oracle/Apache HTTPS Logging w/ custom Log

I am the Netscaler engineer and have not been on an Apache web server in 3 years.

I am inserting the client IP address into the the HTTP Header, re-encrypting then passing it on its way to the apache server. I captured packets and decrypted to confirm the insertion.

The custom log only logs the client-IP for HTTP requests. HTTPS requests do not log the client-ip.

He is running the Oracle Ebusiness R12 Apache flavor. I think he needs to find an ssl include or ssl.conf file, but i am not sure, and wouldn't know what to tell him to do with either if they did exist. Any help much appreciated!

Here are the logging instructions that I gave him and he has confirmed:

# Logging for NetScaler - req 2012/10/03

LogFormat "%{client-IP}i %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\"\"%{User-Agent}i\"" ns-access

CustomLog /dbss/dnaofa/u00shared/inst/apps/wstf_server97f/logs/ora/10.1.3/Apache/ns-access_log ns-access
