NX giving black screen

Trying to connect to a server using NX, authenticating fine but then getting a black screen instead of the desktop.

The client machine is Arch Linux, 64 bit, running the GPL client. It has connected to another server just fine.

The problematic server is CentOS, 32 bit, running the freenx server.

/var/log/nxserver.log gives
Code:
-- NX SERVER START: -c /usr/bin/nxserver - ORIG_COMMAND=
-- NX SERVER START: - ORIG_COMMAND=
Info: Using fds #4 and #3 for communication with nxnode.
