Hello,

Did anyone setup a CentOS7 as a gateway (with squid transparent proxy).
I am trying to do so but not able to setup.

I setup squid [3.5.20], iptables (using it instead of firewalld) and all the necessary IPtables rules but nothing work.

It work previously but access.log of squid not getting updated with the website hits.

Please help me here.

Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature. Just saying "nothing is working" tells us absolutely nothing. And it's even more confusing when you start with "It work previously"....if it WAS working, what did you change?? What kind of clients? Did you restart services? What have you done/tried so far???

The first link you posted has a pretty clear tutorial....did you follow ALL the steps? What did you change/modify from when it was working to now? What DO you see in the logs?

Unless you provide details there is nothing we can do to help you.

I am facing two issues.

1. I setup server by using iptables (disabled firewalld) and the steps mentioned in above links. I observed that internet is working but squid's access log is not being updated with client logs. I checked the permissions and ownership and all is OK.
2. I setup using firewalld but tutorial not mentioning about clear instructions to masquerade the squid proxy. Another one is we are using multiple IP on gateways but tutorial setup to send traffic on specific IP only.

However i will again follow the first link and share the issues on this post.
