If I create (touch) or copy (scp) any file inside my NFS mount, the date stamp comes wrong. The system time/date is correct in both my NFS server and client.
For example, if I have a file "test.txt" on my NFS server, the date shows right. But if I view the same "test.txt" file from my NFS client, the date is not right.
an example of how it's not right would be useful here... it could be that machine 1 uses a UTC system clock with a software timezone offset, and machine 2 uses a local time hardware clock. the reported dates and times will be correct on each machine, but (i think) be different across the NFS mount.
